Asia Pacific Committee Meeting and Training Program under CISAC which was held in Bangkok where our General Secretary Mr. B Pandey and Chief Executive Officer Mr. Mohammed Rafi Eraqui participated and they have got lots of opportunities to know about different reciprocal agreement countries and other digital platforms from where other countries are collecting huge amount. 

The main subject of the seminar on the first day is to collective management of the copyright of musical works, licensing structure, membership rules general licensing procedure.

The second day’s subject is marketing communication, international coordination, Legal Overviews, and overview of broadcasting.

The third day’s subject is a Presentation from our side about the MRCSN and the current situation of Nepal and how the political instability can directly impact on royalty collection process locally and globally.

The last day is all about seminars and meeting with other reciprocal countries ‘CMOs.

The major output from this training and seminar is listed below:

• Release of Equipment Donation from IPRS.
• Learn about Digital Platform Royalty Collection.
• International Coordination and Rehabilitation of Relationships (Reciprocal Agreements).
• Commitment from IPRS to support at re-writing of Copyright Act.
• A good bonding with CISAC and commitment for support on operations expenditure assurance from CISAC.
• Learn about legal perspectives.
• Learn about the whole process of You tube claiming.
• Meeting with BMAT and now we are in regular contact for regular works.
• Meeting with Facebook, conversation about the remaining payment and new contract.
• Started conversation for reciprocal agreement with 5 new CMOs.
• Approached for coordination to collect the royalty from gulf countries like U.A.E, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Jordan etc.
• Approached IPRS to send the IPRS Works Metadata for royalty collection at Nepal Territory.
